i am back in tokyo. for maybe a year?
i am resuming TOKYO DAMAGE REPORT!
please check for updates weekly, at www.hellodamage.com/tdr/currentpage.htm
thanks!
also, since only 4 people are still reading THIS site, maybe you can email me and give me advice — how do i get the word out that i am resuming TDR? i mean, i don’t go to gaijin forums, and i have basically no idea where all the old TDR readers might be nowadays.
if you have a suggestion please leave it in the comment section for this site. thanks!

Hey man, congratulations. Did you get a job? I don’t know if you remember, but I mailed you asking about who I should speak to about getting shows for my silly noise band last year and well, I’m representin’ dirty south Gunma right as we speak. Pretending to teach a thousand little rugrats Engrish during the week and wandering around Tokyo inspired by your adventures on the weekend. I might even have a show in the next while. Just wanted to thank you for the inspiration to make me want to come back and I’m so glad you made it yourself.

Pour une bonne nouvelle … en faisant un petit tour des blogs comme je fais parfois, j’ai découvert que Monsieur TDR est reparti vivre au Japon, pour un an peut être. Du coup, c’est le grand retour de son site consacré à l’un…

Hey, I came across your website about a month ago and I check it almost everydayyy. I actually took time out of my non busy schedule to read almost every archived page; and even about that crazy guy who sells -clean and dirty- girls panties n stuff.
Im actually going to Japan this year, in April-May’ish and I was wondering if you could suggest some neat places, besides the ones you put in your archive already.
Any intresting clubs or recommended bathhouses? I got this book called The Pink Box, and its all about Japans clubs/sex clus but they dont give any locations really. When me and my friend go, we want some really awesome stuff to go see and do. Budget isnt a problem so feel free to give me the cheapest/wierdest or the craziest/mad expensive places. I figured since you live there and from the things Ive read, you’ve got a pretty good idea of what kinds things there are.

I read the part where you call yourself a lazy prick and wont guide anyone around, and some of the places you mentioned werent really my style but a lot of them I will look into.
But most were just clubs filled with drunk people.
I was looking for something a little more than that. Are there maybe just 10 main stores that really stand out?

Great news !
You were such an inspiration to me to come to Japan (and one of the main reason I choosed Kouenji to live).

Late in finding the site, but read it often. Planning a trip to Tokyo in March, you have been a big help. Good to find sub-culture and off the grid fun things to do. All those travel guides are good for straight-laced peeps, but finally a guide for the rest of us.
