INTERESTING JAPANESE MAGAZINE #8

it's a women's magazine that covers. . . .well, not love hotels exactly. . . more like 'love restaraunts.' I suppose this service is for women who feel that love hotels are too tacky. . . .These places will give you a table in a closed-off private booth. The tables seem to be a little smaller than most restaraunts, and the couches seem to be a lot bigger. I can't read Japanese but I assume that the waiter knocks plenty of times before entering.

yes, that's a restaraunt!!

Despite the 'high class' gourmet aspect, the 'love restaraunts' still share some of the more outlandish interior-decorating themes from 'love hotels:' you can eat in a fake Egyptian palace, or space-alien castle.

Plus, each restaurant review comes with a little map so you can select the most private booth, and a special 'LOVE POINT' blurb, detailing some thing that makes the restaurant more sexy. I'm not sure what the 'love point' of the DINING LOUNGE COLON is, but judging from the brown and wrinkled interior of the place, I'm glad I don't speak Japanese. I don't even want to know.
