Tokyo Damage Report

Baseball menu

SOUNDTRACK: lisa lisa with Cult Jam (accompanied by images of a dancing, human Bender)

EVENT: TOKYO DOME RESTARAUNT

theme restaraunts are annoying in America. All being contrived and trying too hard, and an atmosphere of forced fun. Plus the meals all have these asanine, desperate names that try to link the generic fast-food cuisine to a specific theme. But at the tokyo dome amusement park, there’s a baseball-themed restaraunt where this innapropriate-meal-name deal just reaches some kind of apotheosis. like they are trying SO HARD to make the food baseball-y somehow, and it’s totally IMPOSSIBLE but they DON’T GIVE UP. (see GAMAN).

it’s hideous and adorable.

MENU ENGRISH:

"M"ild Turkey Burger . . . ? not only does this have nothing to do with baseball, but wouldn’t you buy it just to find out why the "M" is in quote marks? ("you can really taste the quotation!")
